Immanuel believes that parents play the greatest role in teaching the Christian faith to their children. We are honored to be able assist parents by equipping them with the tools they need to faithfully fulfill the vow they took at the baptism of their child. Which is why we offer the faith legacy series to our families at Immanuel and in the community. They take place in Fall and early in the Spring. All of our classes center around God's Word and His Living Truth for each and every one of us.
The Faith Legacy Series begins at birth and continues every two years of your childs life through 8yrs old. The series looks like this:
Welcome to God's Family- offered during the first two years of your childs life, this class aims to encourage and equip parents in the early years to pass on a leagcy of faith. Each child will receive a faith chest as a gift.
Little Tykes & God's Word- offered to parents of children 2-3 years, this class teaches parents how to teach their toddler about the bible using concepts they can understand. Each child receives a picture story Bible as a gift.
Let's Worship Together intended for parents of 4-5 year old children, this class helps to encourage parents in their role of teaching their children of the importance of being in worship and Christian fellowship. It also equips parents with ways of talking to their childen about the different elements of the worship service. Each child receievs a worship activity kit to be done together with their parents as a gift.
Faith & Service is a class that equips parents with the tools to speak to their child about the imprtance of putting our faith in action. Each parent will receive water basin and towel which they can use to teach their child about service and give to their child as a gift.
Welcome to God's Word is the last class we offer in the faith legacy series aimed at parents of children ages 8-9 yrs old. This class encourages families in being in devotions together and reading their Bible as a family. Each child receieves a Faith Alive Bible as a gift.
