Andover Christian is an Independent Christian Church. We are our own congregation with no outside control. Yet we are part of a fellowship of churches (6,000+ in the U.S.) that began in the early 1800's on the frontier, committed to just being Christians following the Bible.

We are evangelical Christians who believe in God as Father, Son, and Spirit. We believe the Bible is from God and our final authority. Salvation is only by faith when we accept Jesus as our Savior and Lord. (There is a more complete statement of our beliefs on the "What we Believe" Tab)

There are several reasons:

We believe it is something the First Church did every Sunday

It keeps Jesus' death for our sins - and our forgiveness central

It is a reminder of our forgiven status before God - something we need

Anyone may find communion more or less meaningful on a given Sunday, but it is available every week - when you need it most
